CAP seeks to make a positive difference to the capacity and skills of Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations enabling them to deliver effective services to the community aligned with government priorities.

In more specific terms, this involves:

    • equipping people with skills and competencies which they would not otherwise realise;
    • promoting people’s and organisations increased self-confidence;
    • promoting people’s and organisations ability to take responsibility for identifying and meeting their own, and other people’s, needs; and
    • In consequence building sustainable cohesive communities with more active citizens.

Welcome to the CAP capacity building toolkit, which has been developed to help you to increase your organisations capacity to deliver change. It is a response to the demand from Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and local authorities for support in developing the skills required for managing and delivering successful business change.
